Infantry, tankies and paratroopers from Poland who fought with the British in World War 2.

Characterised by Polish additions to the British uniform such as pennents on colours, Polsih rank stars on headgear and the eagle symbol on helmets. Polish paras wore a mouse green/grey beret in conjunction with British Airborne equipment and uniform.

POLISH INFANTRYMAN 10TH DRAGOONS, D-DAY

 

The Polish 1st Armoured Division landed in France and fought its way through to Holland. Here we have a rifleman form the Motorised regiment in 10th Cavalry Brigade, which was part of this formation. His collar pennons are amaranth and orange devided by a green stripe. The blue patch denotes Lanark in Scotland where the 10th Dragoons trained.

 

He wears standard Polish eagle helmet and British 1937 pattern webbing. The rifle is the No 4 Lee Enfiled Short Magazine rifle.

POLISH TANK CREW 10TH DRAGOONS, D-DAY

 

The Polish 1st Armoured Division landed in France and fought its way through to Holland. Here we have a AFV crewman form the 10th Dragoons in 10th Cavalry Brigade, which was part of this formation. His collar pennons are amaranth and orange devided by a green stripe. 

 

He wears the standard Polish eagle beret and British 1937 pattern webbing for vehicle crews.

POLISH PARATROOPER, HOLLAND 1944

 

The Polish 1st Paratroop Brigade dropped in Holland and fought its way through Operation Market Garden. Here we have a Paratrooper in the mouse grey/gren beret with eagle. 

 

He wears the standard  British 1937 pattern webbing and carries the airborne Sten gun.
