The 2 US Airborne Divisions, the All Amercian and Screaming Eagles were dropped in the early hours of D-Day to secure the flanks of the invasion. The fought with great tenacity against very difficult odds. The two divisions stayed in Euurope fighting their way through Market Garden, and the crossing of the Rhine. The 101st were rushed into the line in the snow covered Ardennes to hold the line durig the surprise attack by German forces in the winter of '44 known as the Battle of The Bulge.
